Nature at its best! Discover the hidden beauty of Hundred Islands in Pangasinan, Philippines

The Philippines has 7,107 islands and, as much as you'd like to see all of these beauties, a weekend won't be enough--not even a year! But, if you want to hit roughly a hundred in a weekend, you might want to see Hundred Islands National Park in Alaminos, Pangasinan.

There are 123 islands in Hundred Islands National Park, which covers1,844 hectares. Some islands look like little lumps of land, others have caves in tact. Bigger ones like the Governor's Island has a viewing deck and a small house that can be rented. These islands are said to be two million years old with only 10 caves having been already explored. A famous island is the Marcos Island where you can jump off a 70-foot drop to the sea. Underneath it is the Imelda Cave.To explore the Hundred Islands National Park, all you need to do is head over to Don Gonzalo Montemayor Wharf where you can rent an outrigger for your island hopping tour. If you want to stay out of the radar, another jump off point is Bolo Beach in Barangay Pandan.

Although known for its islands, the Hundred Islands National Park also boasts of its exceptional swimming areas. Snorkeling is a must-do here with the national park's beautiful coral reefs. So don't forget your bathing suit and snorkeling gear when you go here!
